A small deposit, usually five percent of your package price, is
required. This ensures your project is scheduled into
our building rotation. Most shells take 5 weeks to construct in our yard to
construct.
Legendary Logcrafters can connect you with a local General
Contractor. Our preference is to recommend Contractors who we have
previously worked with us. We also recommend Contractors endorsed by
the International Log Building Association. You might want to check
with friends and/or
family who have recently built a home. We do suggest you
hiring a General Contractor with previous experience and who is
willing to provide references.
The cost for our crew to build and complete a client's home
outside of the Collingwood area is often prohibitive so we generally
do not offer a turn-key service. We recommend hiring a local
General Contractor to finish a project.
The average cost ranges from $120.00 per sq. ft. to $200.00 per sq. ft.
Many variables influence the cost per sq. foot and the three most
influential are the geographical location of the build, the design
and size of the home, and the finishing materials used.
Come July 2010, all Ontario Residence are required to pay the new
Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) on their purchases. Securing a
contract prior this date allows you to avoid paying these additional
taxes.
